hosted by the Grunewald Guild, a tucked away artist retreat center in the Wenatchee River Valley in Washington State.
THE RETREAT
Most artist spaces are designed without the caregiver artist in mind. This retreat invites the two to co-exists, with the flexibility is built in. Come solo, if a retreat within a community of artist caregivers who will resonate deeply with those dual identities. Come with your family, if you are not ready for a long weekend away and want to share a retreat space with your closest people (partner, children and/or needed childcare support) along!
Note, the definition of family is expansive, whatever your support community looks like is welcome and included!
Community
A morning creative session, for time set aside to be in community with one another, as well as daily activities, shared meals and invites for further collaboration between participants.
Creativity
The weekend invites both you and your family to engage in creative PLAY! This is not a skills building workshop, but instead a chance to engage with the joy of learning something new! Think nature inspired cyanotypes, polaroid lifts, film photography! Geared slightly towards photography, but no pre-requisites! Any artists/creatives are more than welcome to join.
Rest
An expansive, quiet, tucked in nature location, meals made for you, an optional and flexible schedule to opt into whatever activities you’d like or take a nap in a hammock!

Pricing varies based on your group size and room preferences (private or shared).
Includes Food, Lodging, and Programing (airfair/travel needs to be covered by participant)
