Baby Raiden

Call it being spontaneous or some hormonal-charged emotions since as of late I have been surrounded by pregnant women, but the idea of a laid back session of just a momma and her child was calling to me and Moraya and her handsome baby Raiden were up for a play date.  Also I have been having the creative urge to try video and while my lack of skill and experience is noticeable I find the home video feel sort of endearing, and these small moments between this baby and his momma in motion leave me completely in pieces (so I attached it at the end for those of you that won't mind a shaky camera and blurry focusing in order to see more of Raiden's sweet face).  Enjoy!   And then send me all your babies to photograph :)

Baby Gabriella Grace

While there are so many images of baby Gabriella I could share, these ones are stealing my heart.  These fleeting moments with a newborn preserved with a  timeless grainy black and white.  

Becky & Ryan || A Family Engagement Session

I am so smitten with this family my heart could just burst.  From the affirming complements of the youngest "THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER" to the pre-teen who took awhile warming up but fell in love with the hiking trails, the daughter that brought a camera of her own and the other who shared stories with me as we walked.  

And of course the amazing parents!  Who's recent engagement is bringing all these kids together and loving them with graceful hearts that say go, and explore your world, and have adventures (just try not to get your shorts too wet)!  They applied that same grace to their session, forgetting about keeping the white shirts unstained, and without torturously trying to line up the kids perfectly, plastered with cheesy smiles.  Instead we captured their day authentically, and  it really was the best day ever.  I can not wait to photograph this family more on the wedding day.
