Sabrina & Jefferson

Sabrina moved to Cali, Columbia to teach.  There she met Jefferson.  They fell in love.

Sabrina has been a long time friend of mine, and while chatting once she gave me some insight into her and Jefferson's relationship;

"I taught him how to make chocolate chip cookies as he helped me practice my Spanish. So, since then, we find ourselves in the kitchen a lot together. It´s where we have our conversations, deep discussions, Spanish/English lessons, dance sessions, and ridiculous jokes while making meals for one another. Not only is it a chance for us to fill each other up with food, but to fill our souls up with the stimulation of one another. I have personally always loved cooking, but to be able to share it with one another makes it even greater."

Incorporating food into their engagement shoot felt natural, we spent the morning at the farmer's market, and planned a picnic to follow.  Unfortunately the rain stopped the picnic, but it didn't stop there love from shining through!   I adore these two and was so grateful to spend time with them on their short visit to the states!

Recently got some bling on your finger?  I would adore the chance to hear your unique love story!

Nick & Jolene

All morning I couldn't help but keep checking my weather app.  1pm 50% rain, by 2pm 60%, by 4pm (wedding time) 80%.   I jokingly told my dad as I headed out the door, well pray for the 20% sunshine!

Nick and Jolene were planning an intimate ceremony in Jolene's parents backyard.  They had set up the most beautiful space right in a field, overlooking the river and the woods in the background.   Well it did rain, but this couple simply embraced it.   At one point in the day, soaking wet and smiling, Jolene turned to me and said, Whatever the weather, the outcome of the day is the same.  We will be married.  That is what I care about.  I just want to be married to Nick.

It was such a blessing to be able to witness the love Jolene has for Nick, and accompany both of them on their wedding day!  I simply couldn't of dreamed up a more magical rainy day.

my oh-so-pretty new portfolio

It has been a crazy fun journey, taking 2 photography courses and squeezing in couples shoots almost every weekend, and all to finally get to this point.  Today I am SHARING MY WEBSITE!! My focus will be specifically on Wedding and Family photography.  I am drawn towards weddings because I simply adore love stories.  Families, because I thought nothing could be more precious then young love, until I saw my friend as a mother, holding her newborn baby.

One of the greatest things about photography, for me, is that it allows me to connect with people in moments filled with joy, laughs, chaos, and love. Whether it is your wedding day or just everyday life, there is always a unique and incredible story to capture.

So far I have booked 5 weddings for 2015.  I look forward to a website as a tool to attract even more great couples!  I can't wait to continue to be inspired by each love story I get to encounter.  That connection is just so important to me.  Because of this, I am seeking clients who;

Are Drawn to Honest & Authentic Storytelling  You don’t mind letting me into your home, even though it’s a complete mess since the baby arrived!  There are diapers and dishes everywhere, but you know these moments of your tired eyes, yet full smile are precious.

Photography Matters to You You understand that everything may not go perfectly as planned on your wedding day, but that is not what it is about.  You can’t wait to celebrate the love you found with the community of people you love the most surrounding you.  You dream of a photographer who captures the little moments between you and your new partner; the way he makes you laugh, squeezes you’re hand, or kisses your forehead.

You Can’t Wait to Share Your Story!  You are just bursting to the seam because life is just SO FULL!   It is crazy, and imperfect, and sometimes leaves you spinning, but you wouldn't have it any other way!  It is your perfectly imperfect life, and you cannot wait to share it!
